How Awful About Allan
The early 70's were the golden era of made-for-TV movies. Curtis Harrington directed this psychological thriller starring Anthony Perkins and Julie Harris. Perkins is partially blind after a house fire that took the life of his father, and has been recently released from an institution in the care of his sister. Soon, he begins thinking that someone is trying to kill him, or is it all in his head? The movie is brief, well paced, and features some bold visuals considering it's for television.

Clint, do you recommend this film? I have a weakness for made-for-television movies, especially of the "is it all in their mind?" variety. The seventies produced quite a few of these psychodramas, the best of which (Home for the Holidays, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Dying Room Only, Duel) are usually found on VHS. The holy grail, it seems, is a 1982 thriller called Don't Go to Sleep, starring Dennis Weaver. Looks like I'll have to raiding the Ma and Pa video stores for that one.
I think that you, of all people, would enjoy it more than most because it does have that comforting, made-for-TV-thriller feel, with stars just past their prime.
